Lindsay Miller

“My clients are going through one of the hardest experiences of their lives. My job is to make sure they come out the other side.”

Lindsay has practiced in matrimonial and family law since joining the New York and New Jersey Bars in 2005. She handles all facets of matrimonial and family law, including equitable distribution, support matters, and custody disputes, through both litigation and settlement. Lindsay is also a certified mediator.

Lindsay received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 2004, where she earned a CALI Award for Excellence in Legal Writing and was selected for the Prince Evidence Competition Writing Team — one of four students chosen to represent the school in the inter-law school appellate advocacy competition sponsored by Brooklyn Law School’s Moot Court Honor Society.

Prior to joining Garr Silpe, P.C., Lindsay gained experience in the New York Supreme Court with Justice Sherry Klein Heitler and with William D. London, Esq., a leading matrimonial attorney in Westchester County. She also completed internships at Westchester Putnam Legal Services and the Children’s Law Center in Brooklyn. Lindsay has collaborated with Ira E. Garr on various lectures, including programs on equitable distribution and custody.

Lindsay has been recognized by Doyle’s Guide — an international peer-reviewed legal ranking service — as a Family & Matrimonial Law Rising Star in New York City for 2026.

She’s also been selected by the American Society of Legal Advocates as one of the “Top 40 Under 40” family law attorneys in the country for 2014, 2015, and 2016. She has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in the New York metropolitan area since 2014.

Lindsay is a member of the New York State Bar Association (Family Law Section) and the New York County Lawyers’ Association (Family Law Section). She serves on the Matrimonial Committee of the New York City Bar and participates in the Matrimonial Pro Bono Project for the New York Women’s Bar Association.
