Jordana Barish

Jordana, a partner of Garr Silpe, P.C., represents clients in all aspects and phases of matrimonial and family law including the litigation of complex equitable distribution, child support, maintenance, custody, and parental alienation cases as well as the settlement of such matters.  She also represents clients in the negotiation of their prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.  Jordana has represented parties in same-sex divorce matters and prenuptial agreements.

Jordana has an AV Preeminent Rating (highest possible rating by her peers and the judiciary in both legal ability and ethical standards) in the Martindale-Hubbell directory of attorneys for the since 2000. Jordana’s expertise affords her the honor of being named a Super Lawyer in the New York Metropolitan Area since 2013. She has also been selected by New York Magazine as one of New York’s Women Leaders in the Law, and as one of the Top Women Attorneys in the New York Metro Area, both since 2013.  Jordana has been selected as a Top Rated Lawyer in Family Law since 2013 and has been included in the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers since 2010.

Jordana has appeared on the Fox News Channel as a legal analyst on matrimonial and family law issues such as custody, child support, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and parents, and grandparents rights.  She has been quoted in The Points Guy on the issue of equitable distribution.

Jordana has lectured to the New York Chapter of Women in Financial Services on the topic of commingling and transmutation of assets and its interplay with prenuptial agreements. She has served as a judge at the American Bar Association Law Student Division National Appellate Advocacy Competition Brooklyn Regional.
