Jordana has been with Garr Silpe, P.C. since 1997 where her practice is exclusively devoted to all aspects of matrimonial law including negotiations of settlements and the litigation of complex equitable distribution, child support, maintenance, custody, and parental alienation cases.

Jordana has received an AV Preeminent Rating in the Martindale Hubbell directory of attorneys for the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards since 2000. Jordana has been included as a Super Lawyer in the New York Metropolitan Area from 2013 to the present. She has also been selected by New York Magazine as one of New York’s Women Leaders in the Law for 2014 and 2015. Jordana has been selected as a Top Rated Lawyer in Family Law since 2013 and has been included in the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers since 2010. Ms. Barish is listed as one of America’s Most Honored Professionals for 2012. She was selected as one of Avenue Magazine’s Legal Elite New York City Top Women Lawyers for 2011-2012 and one of Arrive Magazine’s Top Female Lawyers in the Northeast for 2011.

Beginning in 2002 Jordana has appeared on the Fox News Channel speaking as a legal analyst on matrimonial and family law issues including, but not limited to, custody, child support, prenuptial and post-nuptial agreements, and childrens, parents, and grandparents rights.

In March 2011 Jordana lectured to the New York Chapter of Women in Financial Services on the topic of commingling and transmutation of assets and its interplay with prenuptial agreements. Also in March 2011 Jordana was a judge at the American Bar Association Law Student Division 2010-11 National Appellate Advocacy Competition Brooklyn Regional.

Prior to working with Ira Garr in 1997 Jordana was a commercial litigator at two prominent New York City law firms, Zane and Rudofsky and Cooperman Levitt Winikoff Lester & Newman. Over time Jordana’s expertise has shifted exclusively to the areas of matrimonial and family law.
